• Will anything ever change if we're always quiet and respectful though?

    No.

But exploiting a death while the emotions are still raw... that's low.

I'm all for action, but the person didn't die for this cause, and you really shouldn't hijack his death to make it so.

It's horrible that he died, and as cyclists in London we know full well that it really could be one of us. So pay respects, acknowledge what has happened, but realise his family and friends are watching too... don't tarnish his memory.

The best thing to do, perhaps the only thing to do: Build a ghost bike, just the one... place it at the site as quietly as you can, lay some flowers.

Then, in a months time when CM rolls around, get fucking angry... call up friends, join the ride, swell the numbers. In the meantime join Road Peace, LCC, write to your MP.

But at no point show disrespect for those that died. Hijacking his memory is just that, disrespectful.

And if you don't think this is a hijack, then why have their not been half moon Critical Mass rides earlier this year when others died in the early part of a month? Because the Olympics weren't on then and CM hadn't been given a kicking by the police.

Which is what this is actually about, and why I find it foul.
