This idea is gaining quite a bit of momentum over on the CM FB page.
I'm not on Facebook... but anyone brave enough is welcome to put the link to this thread in there and let them have the debate here.
I'm pretty sure enough reasonable people will see the logic in NOT doing a half moon CM that the obvious outcome can be avoided.
If they choose to proceed, I really hope that they have the good sense to not visit the site or go anywhere near the Olympic Park.
They might also wish to consider that a sudden unplanned gathering is far more in the definition of a protest ride than CM is, and they would be handing the police a great opportunity to finish what they'd started.
In summary: CM appear to be determined to give themselves a black eye and do nothing at all to actually pay respect to a fallen cyclist.
Right now, the entire proposal makes CM embarrassing to the vast majority of cyclists.
