Is there actually any difference between on-one, surly, dia compe, etc. etc. etc. ?
As long as you've got hubs with sealed cartridge bearings, and you replace them as needed surly they'll be fine(?). From what I can see you need to make a jump up to the Goldtech/Phil/Royce level before there's much difference...
...and even then I think some of it may be hype.
(that said the 70's campag pista hubs I had were loooooovely #buysintohype)
