Ok - all your points taken but I still bought one for half price less another fiver Velodrome shop offered off.
I can report after a couple of weeks riding around London that the ventelation is pretty damn good though I wouldn't wear it when >25 celcius (little chance of that). and unless you let the visor get really grubby, there is no misting.
Visibility is excellent and much better than when wearing glasses.
In all, I may look like a tit with all the gear and no idea, but I am delighted.... So if you see me, say 'hello' and don't shout abuse.
