Any decent Gumwall tires?

If they are heavy they probably contain a thick layer of rubber so will avoid punctures as the things going through the tyre have to be longer, i.e. if your tyre had an inch of rubber on the tread you wouldn't get many punctures.
However people generally don't want tyres that heavy so compromises are made (an inch thick tread also wouldn't be supple so would not be comfortable and almost like riding a solid tyre I would imagine.)
