There are other people who already upload the BC runs if people are interested in the routes.

I just don't see that my club run data is of interest to anyone other than myself.
For similar reasons I don't post pictures of myself, my tattoos, my bikes or anything else online (All of these things can be found but were put there by people other than I).

Something about our peers constant desire for internet recognition rubs me the wrong way. I'm loud and obnoxious in real life without spreading that around in pixel form too.

But I can only give it praise when it comes to proper climbs, I'm proud of my KOMs where there's a sensible gradient and the ability to see how your times change over time is great and definately helps give Strava an edge.
If these were the only segments then I would not have an objection. However, I only really care about my ascent times and I can compare that easily enough using garmin connect in an admittedly less pretty package.
