• If you can stretch I'd look at Stan's road rims. They're light, and if you're concious about weight you can also run them tubeless to reduce weight further.

With 32h to play with, they'll be strong enough, and I'm sure I've read people using them for cx.

The Kinlin's are meant to have fairly thin sidewalls to keep the weight down - probably not a problem in itself, but if you're going to be braking on them a lot, they'll wear out. Also if you do go for them I'd choose 20mm as you've got 32h hubs. Or maybe switch the front hub out for a 24h.

I have a new pair of Mavic Open Pro Ceramic 32h clincher rims. Pm if interested.

Stay away from Stan's No tubes. I know a prominent wheel builder who refuses to build wheels with Stan's.

IRD rims have good reputation, but Cadence Road model rim has single eyelets.

I would recommend DT Swiss Revolution spokes on the front and on the rear non drive side. The drive side rear with DT Swiss Competition.

    Or DT Swiss Aerolite throughout.

Not forgetting nipples go for DT Swiss Pro lock brass standard or hexagonal.

The most important element is a good wheel builder.
