I have had a steel Frameset hanging around for ages, waiting for some love, my "run-around/london bike" was the intention. Fully chromed but had been hand painted and stickered with De Ver, Possibly 531c, Campag Dropouts, don't know much else. A nice Frame, but with recent Ti obsessions, it had been left to lie. This is it,
Then, I got distracted by a frame i saw on ebay that a fellow forumenger was getting rid of. Asked one question too many (which was one) and soon swapped some parts, then this turned up this morning....
Then this happened this afternoon,
Thanks Pepe for the frame! We obviously shared good taste ;) It caught my eye a while back, but I had no funds to have a bid....
Bit of a mix of parts. Some that were awaiting the "runaround" project, some that were meant for other things and some that were just knocking about.... few adjustments to make, but it runs nicely, pretty light and a good looking frame imho.
Its an 853 frame and forks, not surewhat it's orignal intentions were as a custom frame, or when/if ends were converted (it's 130mm rear spacing) or made for an internal hub, or what....doesn't matter, makes it a nice versatile frame to have.
Now looking for a suitable, longer, seatpost after reading the "Broken Caygill" thread....
