Oh and Beno, I have no idea whether or not the shop in Durham is connected or not but it struck me that sharing the same name might be a good starting point to explore the history. Perhaps the shop had it's own frames branded in years gone by? Alternatively, the name Bartram seems to be associated with 3 brothers at least one of which was in the motorcycle business but that seems an even more tenuous link. Even if the frame sells I'd still be interested to hear about it's history.
