RPM90 - Cycle tours

I've been thinking more and more about arranging self-drive tours for those who'd prefer to do things themselves.

Idea would be to rent a van/pickup with 2-3 friends and agree to drive a single day while the others ride.

Taking everything necessary you could have a great time with the van driving as broom/support. Changing wheels etc then stay either at a hostel or campsite with the bikes safely locked (and insured) in the van.

I might start a thread if anyone's interested in joining me this summer but am interested to know what problems you've encountered?

Problem number 1 would be convincing ppl to get off their bikes to drive the van. We got my mates pregnant wife to drive our support car for l2p 24hr. She brought her 1 year old along too just to make things harder.
