camera looks in great nic, I have one that doesnt look as pretty but works like new(after a new shutter unit), a great workhorse of a camera and 8mp is as much as 99% of people will ever need. I think the first shutter on mine got 280,000 clicks
It works great (for me, no noticable auto focus problems) with the Sigma 50mm f1.4, (canon f1.2 just too much money)
I wouldnt worry about a chip, that body is meant for abuse! glws
