I think you're right, Open Pro CDs would look better, but then worse when the braking surface wears.

Open 4cds actually .
No machined sidewall same rims as on the Pinkendale. Look lovely when new, I now have a NOS pair in the loft.....
Look even worse than the Open Pros when the brake wear starts to show...
