They are always going to wear in the end though, and using carbon pads on alloy rims as some do to try to avoid wear just means your brakes aren't much cop.
I prefer the look of the grey anno'd ones now, but in three months when they are grey and silver I reckon I'd wish I'd gone for chrome.
