I went down Fountain Drive/College Road this morning around 8am and the police had blocked off College Road just about the junction with Kingswood Drive. I couldn't see a great deal but there was an ambulance already at the scene. A bus had pulled in on the right-hand side and there was a black & red Spesh road bike propped against the railings next to the wood. I saw a trolley/stretcher but the injured party hadn't yet been moved on to it.
As I threaded my way further down the hill the police were also blocking off the other end below the toll at the roundabout/junction of Hunts Slip Road.
Not wishing to get into too much conjecture but judging by the traffic, light conditions and wet road surface it might have been a case of rider being clipped by a bus turning out of Kingswood Drive on to College Road. The bike didn't look obviously damaged so, hopefully, if there was an impact it wasn't a major one.
Anyway, hope rider isn't badly injured (possibly a chap, judging by bike?).
