Cheers for the suggestions, I'll check them out.
As for training salon's I tried it once. Got there early, sat around for almost an hour, then the teacher went round all of us and told half of us to leave. As a guy I think your chances are more limited. Either way I've decided that life is too short for that route. And I do need something 'client/counterparty friendly'.
As for being a poseur, I used to have a skin head and altho it suits me it makes me look like a thug... which isn't great for work or finding a girl friend. With normal haircuts, because of the thickness of my hair it requires some skill to cut.
I'd also add that I can get away with having my hair cut almost every 2 months if it is cut well, where as when I used to go to a barbers it was a min of every 3 weeks.
