Nitto B259AA Riser Bar Voluntary Recall

Nitto B258AA riser bars might break and they are recalling them.

Just found this message on the Euro Asia distributor website.

Engineers at Nitto identified a potential issue with the design of the handlebars, such that the handlebars could break when used on fixed gear bicycles for "trick" or stunt riding. Such handlebar failure may lead to a loss of control and could result in a crash.

I can't find any other references to this on the web, and I don't know how old this info is. Plus I am not sure if the EA offer extends to end users or only to retailers.

Anyone else heard about this?

I am off to try and check which Nitto risers I have...
