  • I'm sure we've had this debate about Haye on here before. I remember him as a kid when he first came down the Lodge with his brother. I remember him dominating as a junior, I remember him winning the world silver in Belfast, when British Amateur boxing wasn't doing much. He was very talented and could have dominated at cruiser, but went up to heavy to chase the money and make a name for himself, and did OK, better than most predicted. I don't know why people feel the need to knock.

    Of course he's a cocky arse, very few who make it in the game aren't. Faux-cockney, poor man's Pisti isn't any more appealing. A boxer needs confidence and needs to sell tickets. No news there. He'll be rolling in cash while everyone else is working into their late sixties. He'll be smiling, while people are going on about how he couldn't punch...which he could.
