Had a great ride around South Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon. I Just followed the road as I had no idea of routes, was really great. Was a little worried a brakeless track bike might be next to useless on 'proper' hills but I did ok and only had to get off and walk once. The rest of the hills were seriously hard work but doable. Ended just outside Ashford in the water as the late afternoon mist hung to the hills and then headed back home for some mulled wine. Seriously jawdropping countryside views, 1 set of traffic lights and about 10 cars past us all afternoon. I love riding outside of London.
