Hi,
I just got a new frame and building it from an old bike that was hit by a van.
From the old frame I've got some good 700c rims and some great second hand campag chorus brakes which seem to be a standard size...
The new frame fits 27in and 700c with a 60mm brake drop. My campags do not drop 60mm. Not even close. and they don't thread through the holes.
Was there some kind of old brake that would fit this kind of frame sizing for 700c wheels?
And, more importantly, do you think it's better to get new 27in rims so that the brake (might) fit comfortably on them, or keep the rims and get a new set of brakes with a bigger drop?
