  • You have a couple of options.

Shepherds bush-uxbridge road-ealing-perivale, this is all road, but frankly rather boring

The other option is part road part tow path, basically get yourself up to Marylebone and you can jump on the tow path of the grand union canal, which will take you all the way up to Hanger Lane, you can then take the cycle path alongside the A40 to Perivale for about a mile or so.

This is the towpath section, I've ridden it fixed on 25c tyres and its fine - its a little narrow at times, but I imagine at this time of year there wont be too many people on it early on a sunday morning. I found it to be a really nice route - at times it didn't feel like I was in london.
I might even ride up and meet you somewhere along the towpath and lead you back.

once you get to Hangar lane gyratory there is a cycle path that actually runs under it - so you dont have to negotiate the nasty roundabout, you just have to make sure you pop up in the right place - its pretty well signposted tho.

I will have coffee, tea and croissants waiting. Also don't worry about bringing any food/drink stuffs - I got it covered, plus there is a massive tesco round the corner if we need to restock.
