  • Fixed&Broken, when I started the lists, one thing that people found out 3 years ago, was that the lists were of things that were of pertinence to me. Yes, I have modified some to take in other viewpoints, but in the main, I have created, and sometimes updated them, and if people find them useful....fine. What I haven't done is apply straw-poll politik to them, ie. pander to many other viewpoints. I am not the only person that has created lists here, and everyone is welcome to do their own, and several have.

I won't argue the toss about how this list could be made to better suit you I'm afraid. Please consider creating lists that you are happy with, and publish them on the forum. Obviously, they will never make everyone happy. Its just the way things are.

Firstly I'd like to thank you for the efforts you make in maintaining the lists, having maintained similar knowledge bases within a work context I appreciate the time involved. The locks thread in particular is one of the best go-to resources on the subject and contains some great insight.

It certainly wasn't my intention to get your back up, just to clarify the content of the list and perhaps provoke a little debate around it. If that's how you want to maintain it then it's your prerogative as the originator of it, however you yourself note that you've modified them on feedback from others before and that there has been an evolution.

I don't see any point in having two lists on what is the basically the same subject as it just confuses users. This is why I raise the issue rather than just starting my own.

This is still a very good list and stands on it's own merits regardless.
