• I thought the 'no interference' rule NA tried out for some tournament was a real step in the right direction for the game. I think allowing forearms, pushing and safety buffers moves us two steps back.

    Space protection is fundamental? What about passing? What about movement? Space protection is not fundamental - protecting the ball maybe. Our bikes DO get tangled up all the time - it's a contact sport and you can't prevent this by allowing active use of forearms. Instead you create an environment where it's ok to shove other players because you thought they might get in your space. This stuff foregrounds physicality rather than skill and will be the sort of thing that takes our game closer to your beloved ice hockey.
