Complete bike which I bought on a whim after returning from holiday in France and deciding I wanted a French bike to pootle around town on. However the frame's too small for me and I've since changed my mind as to whether I need to be doing any 'pootling', so it's just taking up space. The previous owner removed the front brake for reasons unknown to me and as I've never really ridden it I haven't bothered to put it back on. Looking at it, it may need a replacement bolt as the current one doesn't look long enough (possibly snapped), but this shouldn't be too tricky to come by.
The front tyre is also split but I can put an old tyre for you to ride home with (albeit very carefully with only one brake!)
Jacques Anquetil was a Tour de France legend and although these were presumably mass produced, you don't see many around in this country. I particularly like the picture of Jacques on the downtube, a nice touch! Lovely mudguards, Huret gears and rear dynamo which I am told works but have not tested it. I also have the front mudguard.
Still in box from Wiggle which I haven't opened, ordered these for a short tour which I did last week, they didn't arrive in time and I ended up having to buy the Halfords ones below at the last minute. They're now a bit more expensive on Wiggle, I'd just like back what I paid.
Halfords Pannier Bags £18
Aforementioned Halfords bags, used for one short tour, probably not weatherproof but they've never been in the rain, sturdy and secure once mounted but otherwise nothing special.
Here they are in action:
