Are the threads still aok on the actual cog? Make sure you check properly otherwise they might fuck up the other side.

I take it this is your only bike, and it's an important part of your transport?

If it were me, I'd just go to a shop and buy the cheapest freewheel you can and just be concious about how you brake. It also means that you can just sell the whole thing when you get your new wheel, especially considering it is all that hub is really good for.

Or use locktite and a rear brake, and brake using brakes only.

its set up and running fine with the free wheel safely flopped . or flipped. no flopped , right ?
