It should be returned to two-way operation and greatly reduced in motor traffic capacity. It can be demonstrated on a base plan how this could be done, but given the enormity of changes required there, that would take a while. If you're worried about riding through it, do it with a cycle trainer sometime, assuming you haven't had cycle training, and assuming that you'll be ready for Level 3.
I only worry because having driven through it many times, I realise how treacherous it can be with cars weaving from lane to lane. There's not enough road-markings to marshall the cars properly. I'll just have to employ my Old St Roundabout skills..
