I'm completely new to bikes, so don't be too mean. But I've picked up an old 531 frame and went to my lbs to get forks.
The forks they suggested and sold me are some giant ones with a 1 inch steerer, after taking the frame and bike home and looking for a headset online I can't help but feel the forks are possibly too small for the frame.
To me 1 1/8 forks must be a better fit.
here's some pics, advice really needed as I'm such a noob and have no idea what I'm doing.
