  • Suddenly glad doctors opted for external fixation ([ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/External_fixation[/ame]) rather than internal fixation when I had a compound tib/fib fracture -- cold metal aches sound scary as!

    Post-break I started running which felt weird... my leg wasn't happy with it at all. I used to ride geared fairly regularly and recently took up fixie riding; since doing so all aches/pains have completely disappeared and my legs are now far stronger than they ever were before the break! Make sure you do your physio (especially stretches) to regain flexibility, I just left strength-building to the bike.
