The reason I suggest alternatives to a luton is that after Sudbury, the route gets into lanes that are quite a bit tighter and picking up stranded riders gets a lot more difficult, particularly around lots of other tired cyclists.
We did have bikes stacked on top of bikes in the van and still too small.
If you can get a luton with a driver and drive a car then that would probably work pretty well. Best thing I can suggest is that someone make a firm commitment to organise van and coach now and sort out the actual vehicles in a couple of weeks time when numbers are a bit clearer.
