lynx, you are exactly what everyone on this forum says you are.....but I won't go into that. Mechanical_vandal understands WHY a heavy person like me would want to be absolutely sure that the wheels I use would last. They have, and I'd say that was due to Vaidas' skill. However, the wheels were true when I got them, but I break frames, and I didn't fancy popping 2 spokes at once, or having my wheel buckle.
How many wheelset makers test their rims/wheels with people of my weight, and riding needs? Few I reckon.
In fact, Campagnolo, one of the most respected cycle component manufacturers ever, do NOT guarantee any of their products for people of my weight. hippy can brief you more on that if you wish. So if Campagnolo's wheelsets are not fit fot purpose (my riding purpose), then shouldn't I be extra cautious when choosing wheels? I am, and I did....show caution.
