I've a friend who have a custom Roughstuff, it's really is custom with campag shifter, XT rear merc, campag front derailleur, and XT chainset complete with mechanical disc brake and cross top.
really need to get a photos of it soon, originally I intend to get a Roughstuff but the cost is far too high (despite the obvious advantage of getting custom fitted), end up going for a Thorn.
I've also forget about Robin Mather too, he also make some excellent touring bike too;
