Cranks for road at one time were 144 bcd just like track was 151.
Road went to 130,135, 116 and track went to 144.
During the time 144 bcd we could use a track (fixed) rear wheel for winter training.
You just put a 3 /32 cog on your freewheel hub, no lock ring since you got brakes.
Your doing it for spinning and form.
