Exactly, 28c is much too small to make that much of a difference.

I do wish sometimes you would just be told...On a tyre that is 28c, and responsible for controlling a 10 stone person (an then some) and a 9 kilo bike at 20 miles an hour in the wet...

It makes a fuck load of difference, thats excatly why you know the difference if you are riding on tyres with pretty patterns on like a gatorskin in the wet and it feel almost dangerous, and then ride something with a little bit of tread on it, as with your tyres...

time has told(an make that a very long time...that having the tyres the right way round makes a huuuuge amount of difference...the reason they are in one direction helps the centrifugal motion of the tyre, empty the treads of water and as such grip the road much more efficiently...

I should hold my tongue now...though after you keep chewing me about being a loony that is obsessed with magnets...I won't...you will be told...

Just do the right thing...smile sheepishly...and admit you put it on wrong...or you can tell us you didn't notice and that actually you had put the wheel on the wrong way round and you always ride with the quick release on this side of the wheel...or you can dny everything and then next time I go into evans and someone tells me that tyre treads make no difference on a 'little tyre' I can roll my eyes and kick myself for not going to a real bike shop...or you can just say you learned something and then we will all think twice as much of you for being a man about it...You will know all about grippy tyres when you have been hammering down flooded road on a heavy bike in south america and you are trying to stop the damned thing...and it just like someone suggested is sliding everywhere and you really wish you had put your tyres on the right way round...You are so damned happy to correct everyone else...
