  • Totally agree with blackfoot, or do you prefer cornelius? Or else?

I made a mistake buying a bike that is too big for me, I mena I could manage it and I have been very well, but the riding position was not great and god knows if it's created any unseen damage to my back... Anyway, here is a cheap trick for you, go to evens an pretend you wanna buy a bike and take a couple out for a test ride, and make up some excuses to leave, from my experience they don't usually puch the customer to buy anything anyway. I used to go there every now and then to test ride some new models and they knew I had no intention of buying any everytime... And you can also ask them for advice in sizing etc etc. Obviously a little oversize or a little undersize is sort of OK and you are right, when buying 2nd hand items, they don't always fit 100%, like my new build, it's ever so slightly oversize, so we used a really short stem to make up for it, but if you need a 55 and end up using a 50, yes you can ride it ish, maybe... but not only it'd look silly but you'd not be giving your body the treatment it deserves.
