I think most people are missing dammit's point.
If you have not seen the new style vittoria valves, you can't advice. They are NOT two peice, allowing you to remove the top, screw in an extender and replace the top, they are one peice that screws off at the point the valve contacts the basetap.
The top peak will work but not very well on these valves, I have tried.
You really need to change to the longer vittoria ones.
