perhaps because the germans don't think it's necessary to bang on about how wonderful their country/cuisine/drink/art/culture is when residing in another country or feel the need to ghettoise themselves?
maybe they subscribe to the tenet 'if it's so wonderful why don't you fuck off back there?'
