(pointless hypothesising) I would assume that Google has some kind of auto-filter that would translate the descriptor - street to straße, city to stadt etc but leave the 'name' part untranslated. Because it's not Weiße City.
Having typed that, it's a bit obvious really. Should go unsaid. Sorry.
