Cottaging in the UK

As the impending royal shame wedding gets closer myself and few friends are looking to escape from the city to a countryside cottage / house.

Does anyone know of any good companies / websites / areas that are good for this. Or does anyone know of any websites for renting unique design / quirky properties.

We want to rent a place for 6 - 8 people, for 3 or four nights, self contained with no contact unnecessary contact to the outside world, so isolated is good. Think Monty's cottage in withnail and i.... but closer to London.

I would do a simple Google search for you, but I'm not allowed on the internet...
