I've just been made aware by the UK supplier of Petzl climbing gear that they have found Chinese made copies of some of their products. The products they have found copies of are the Petzl Croll, Attache, Ascension and Rescue. How people can sleep at night when they make substandard fake safety gear is beyond me.
Just thought I'd better let people know as I know there are other climbers on here. I'd hate to hear of anyone mistakenly buying one of these have having them fail in use. If you're buying from approved Petzl retailers you should be ok.
