how common is it with Mexican made Benottos for the seat tube to crack at the bottom bracket lug? just bought a Modelo 1700 track frame thats in near mint cond and I was hoping to use it for training on and off the track so I need to know if Im taking a risk here.
seatpost size is 26.6mm which indicates Columbus Zeta tubing(no decal), the bottom bracket has a full heart shape cutout, think it was built in 1981 from the bb stamp
If it does crack how easy/safe is it to fix and is that the only potential frame failure?
