Actually they're not. Lots of ABC1's buy Nurofen. They're just influenced by effective marketing, which is really what we're talking about. Nurofen is a fantastic example of what marketing folk call the 'product surround'. I.e. the product is the same, but the marketing around it is far from the same. Therefore many perfectly intelligent people choose the more expensive, but identical option.
And just for the record, I'm a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, so yes I know what I'm talking about. You, however, seem like a clueless dick, quite frankly.
