If the driver was arrested on the charge of ‘dangerous’ driving rather than ‘careless’ then in any other domain this would be manslaughter.
I’ve just been musing on the Crown Prosecution Service today.. reported someone yet again for being on the phone whilst speeding through Croydon and looking at his satnav screen at the same time. What’s the point unless CPS staff are put on bikes and let loose at Vauxhall Cross or Holland Park roundabout.
This is what they say on their website:
