Thank you for the websites, very informative. Currently bicycles are banned from our Multi Use Sport Areas (MUSA), but this refers to informal use rather than formal bookings. Looking at the sport we feel the tarmac area would be more suitable. However we would like you to fill in the park booking form as requested.(http://www.coventry.gov.uk/info/461/parks_and_open_spaces-information_and_advice/332/book_a_park)
We would also like to see a Risk Assessment for the activity that details how you would deal with collision (players/fencing), injuries, falls etc and any and all formal organised events and activities must have proof of £5 million Public Liability Insurance, many smaller or new clubs achieve this by affiliating to a National Body of some kind e.g. a small gun club affiliating to National Rifle Association. It may be possible to have a Ranger present at your event and this would allow the Council's insurance to cover the event if there is no such national body for your sport as yet.
If you have any queries about the booking form or required conditions please speak to Gemma Davies on our events team or myself.
