I used to use it, but abandoned it when it was purchased by a major corp and later was rumoured to be used in some P2P legal cases as part of the evidence (there was also rumour of Last.fm sharing user details).
Then I decided that the risk of actually putting that data out there, to a company that could be subpoenaed was dumb of me, and that having everything I play be visible reveals the stuff downloaded ahead of pre-release. I figured that I was getting enough utility from it to justify even the smallest risk.
I mostly discover music through some hacks to a Squeezebox server with MusicIP in tow... so wasn't using Last.fm greatly, and was also a bit annoyed that most of my music playing was never recorded (portable Cowon MP3 players).
