Dude, i think you might benifit from rereading your long post and take some of your own advice when posting in future.
(that's not meant to be arsey - just think there are a few points you coul learn from too)
Also I think this page is a great eg of why it is actually important to have a special day to be nice to each other. Xmas isn't about marketing, it's a way of brightening up one of the darkest and most gloomy times of the year. So cheer up and enjoy it.
