Logic makes more sense to me, but then it's what I'm used to using.
With Pro Tools you are limited to their own M-box interfaces (a bit shite) or the M-Audio ones which come bundled with a special edition of Pro Tools - it won't boot up otherwise.
How many tracks do you want to record?
For the highest quality 2 track recording (presuming you are recording demos on your own), I'd personally look into getting an apogee duet and Logic (express or pro), but this could be quite costly. You should be fine with the plugins that come with Logic for reverb, compression etc.
