Went to Moro for friday lunch
Wet rice with squid, prawns and aioli
Duck fattee
Finished off with cheeses
Very nice, not omg stunning but very enjoyable, I enjoyed the sherry pairing with the starter and a couple bottles of Duoro were duly enjoyed. Nice buzzing atmosphere.
Saturday I lunched it up at Les Deux Salons. Apparently it cost 2.5 mil to refit and I can see why cause it looks bloody amazing (think Balthazar in New York, but nicer)
Lamb sweetbreads to start were stunning. I tried some of the bacon and snail pie which was also rather good.
Ox Cheeks and parsnip puree with a side of gratin dauphinoise was a excellent main washed down with the duck pond pinot noir..
The service got a little slow after that, which was a shame, still couldn't fault the food.
Paris Brest to finish and some muscat sweet wine
damn fine place and the range on the menu means it be national debt enducing or sub £20 if you eat at the right time/selective menu choice.
