I need to pet a cat. A dog would do, in a pinch.

Sorry to dredge this thread up but I didn't want the mergeatron to pay me a visit.

Me and my lady have been talking a lot recently about buying a pet cat or dog. Since we both work during the day I a dog is out of the question for now.

So we are thinking about buying a cat, but as we live on a busy road and I don't want the poor thing to get ran over we want to keep it as a house cat (indoors) have any of you lot got any tips on keeping indoor cats?

my cat is fine in a decent sized one bed flat. Not ideal, but hopefully one day we will move to a bigger place with outside access and he can roam free
