In 1988, there was a Cold Chillin' / Mr Magic Tour at Brixton Academy. featuring Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shante and MC Shan. It was possibly still the best gig I have ever been to. During a twenty minute set Cutmaster Cool V (Von Lee), *cut, scratched, transformed with finesse Live *and blew the audience away. It was like nothing i'd ever heard before, later copied endlessly at the Technics World Mixing Competitions staged at Royal Albert Hall back in the day.
