2010-09-29 - Rider Down, Tavistock Place

Camden are completely changing the lay outs of Russell Sq, Montague Place and Malet St over the next 6 months or so.

Russell Sq is going to be two-way all the way round - with the funny little two-way cycle lane in the south west corner, as well as the contra-flow down Montague Place, being removed completely.

Fingers crossed this should improve things in the area, but I am keen to see how on earth they will be making Russell Sq two -way...

Fingers also crossed. 2-way Russell Square would be a good move, if they can pull it off. I'm as assertive as the next rider, but you can't really account for the fucking total randomness/aggressiveness of some drivers going round it.

I'm assuming the reopened Byng Place is unfinished? Some road markings/signage for peds would help matters.

Keep hearing a rumour about a return to 2-way traffic for Tottenham Court Rd too…
