My advice? Don't try and mix Campy and Shimano unless it's 7speed or certain 8spd (see above). It's just not worth the hassle. In general Campy 9/10 spd mechs are interchangeable with 9/10 spd Campy cassettes. Certainly any Campy 10spd mech will work with a 9spd Campy cassette. You will be safest using a 10spd chain however (KMC are good value and reliable).
